Why do I need to use a Licensed Remote Pilot for my aerial photos and videos?

A Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA  demonstrates the holder understands the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones.  An unlicensed pilot can be fined $1,100 per incident by the FAA if caught flying for commercial use and the one who hired the unlicensed pilot could be fined  $11,000.

Am I licensed and Insured?

Yes. I am a FAA-Certified Remote Pilot under the FAA part 107 . I have a Remote Airman Certificate with a sUAS rating. Yes I am insured for $500,000 through Skyward for your aerial mission. I can increase to $1,000,000 if needed for project or location.

Are my Drones Commercially registered?

Yes. SkyClops is 100% compliant with FAA regulations required to operate commercially in the National Airspace System (NAS). My sUAS's are all FAA registered  and labeled.

What is the turn around time?

From the time of the photo shoot to finished media is typically up to 48 Hours depending on the media requested. If an early photo shoot and locally, it can be same day possibly.

What are the Photos and Video Resolutions?

Aerial 12 megapixels still photos are shot at 4:3 aspect ratio at 4000 x 3000 pixels. Video resolution FHD 1920 x 1080. 360 Aerial photos will be 8192 x 4096 pixels. 360 Ground photos will be 5760 x 2880 pixels.

What if the weather is bad the day of my photo shoot?

In the event of rain, wind, storms, hurricane, or any weather condition that would make it unsafe to fly in, I reserve the right to reschedule the shoot for safety reasons. I will be glad to reschedule your shoot for another available day in Paradise.

Can I cancel a scheduled job?(other than due to weather condition)

Yes you can cancel. If you cancel with a 3 days notice, otherwise you will be charged 15% cancellation fee to take into consideration for the preparation we did before the due date. 

What if I am not satisfied with your work?

I can either reshoot or I can fully refund and remove all the files if you are not satisfied if paid for. 

How will I receive my media files?

You will be sent a Dropbox Link to the email provided to preview and download your media files. Videos will be MP4 and the images will be Jpg.

Are you authorized to fly in my area?

Depending if you are in a restricted area, I may have to seek out waivers/authorization from the FAA to fly in controlled airspace and may take the FAA up to 90 days to review and approve a waiver. In Central Florida,  Bartow Municpal Airport, Lakeland Linder International Airport, Kissimmee Gateway Airport and Orlando International Airport are some of the locations that are in controlled airspace and will require a waiver/authorization to fly.

What payment methods can I use to pay for services?

Forms of payment include: Cash, Check, Credit Card, or PayPal.

Is there any upfront cost from me, prior to work?

No, payments are made after services are rendered.

What do you need from me to get started?

I need your name, phone number, location address, email address, and scope of work.

How high does your aerial operations go?

I fly under 400 ft above Ground Level following the FAA rules set under Part 107.

What formats are your Photos and video?

Photos are in Jpg or Raw. Videos are in MP4.
